I am using 11.1 and the boss wants our embedded voicemail to work like our old nortel where you could press only "0" which voicemail is playing and it would call the receptionist. I have our configured for Office IP Mode and I have even tried to press shortcodes and none seem to react when the recording is playing. How can I emulate this how mine is configured. It has to be "0" and not "*0" I appreciate the help

You can setup DTMF breakout for user's voicemail (allowing you to hit 0, 2 or 3) and route it where you want. This is setup under the voicemail tab for users. It can also be set system wide under the system>voicemail tab. However, you can NOT setup DTMF breakout for a group it has to be an individual user.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

brain fart, I just saw that, thanks. I was stuck on using shortcode, been a long morning already.

Is there a way for say press 2 to go to my Auto Attendant? I can see all users and groups but don't see option to go to auto attendant. Appreciate the help

Create a shortcode that goes to the Auto Attendant.

This example assumes your AA is named Day

Shortcode: *7901
Feature: Auto Attendant
Number: AA:Day (exact spelling and punctuation matters)

Then in the DTMF breakout simply type *7901(wont be in the list needs to be manually typed).

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
