zero out to attendant 2

Hello,
i had a quick question regarding setting up an attendant at a different site. I recently installed an IP Connect to an S8700 we have at one of our sites. When zeroing out it goes to our local attendant of the S8700.. is it possible to have the users on the IP Connect zero out to an attendant that is at a building next door of the IP connect. The building next door is a G3si..

I meant when you press zero it goes to our receptionist at the home of the S8700... we want it to go to our receptionist at the building next door of the IP connect which is off a G3si.

You need to enter the specific extension number of the operator/receptionist in the other building, in the covering extension field of each the Audix subscriber screens for each extension at the other building.

I'm not using CAS and i've already setup the covering extensions in our Audix. What i'm trying to do is that when a caller picks up his phone and presses zero it goes to our receptionist that is several miles away.. (the home of the s8700) We want the user to dial zero and be able to get the receptionist at a building next to the IP connect which is currently a g3si. The IP Connect and G3si are right next door to each other. A coworker mentioned that i would have to setup some type of partitioning on the S8700 for the new cabinets that are the IP connect..

If IP Trunked - Can you set 0 as an extension and route it in your UDP table to the other sites?

The only way I know of to accomplish that is to use Tenant Partioning and put all of the extensions in the other building in the same tenant partition.

i think tenant partitioning is the way to go.. need to do some homework and figure out how to do this..

Are you using UDP (Uniform Dial Plan)? It would seem logical that if you were to enter "0" into the UDP and force it to be local, it would go to the appropriate switch. I believe that UDP conversion is the first action taken on any dial digit. I have never tried this with the attendant extension, so it may not work correctly.

Make sure you have 'tenant partitionin' set to y on your customer options and that '0' in your dialplan is defined as 'attd'.
Create a new tenant (change tenant 2) and assign another tenant group to this tenant other the first tenant.
Next assign your attendant console of the remote building to this 'tenant group' (on the attendant form).
All you need to to then is assign every station of the other building to the new tenant you created (on the station form). Depending on the tenant the station is aasigned to the will end up in a different tenant group.
