Attendant Coverage to VDN

Hi, we have 2 attendant consoles that ring when you dial 0 or ask for "Operator" on the phonetic operator.

How can I route calls to a VDN/Vector that says "Unavailable..." when they put the console in Busy or Night?

I tried "change tenant" and entered the VDN in "Night Destination" but that didn't do anything when I put Night Service on.

I entered the VDN in Attendant Vectoring VDN but that makes all calls route, even when console is not Busy/Night.

Thanks

Is 0 configured as "attd" in your dial plan parameters?
Are you using actual attendant consoles (if you run the command list attendant are those the ones you use?)
Do your attendants log into a queue?
Is the tenant configured with the same attendant group as the attendants?
If you are using the tenant option you would add the VDN to the Attendant Vectoring VDN field and then add an announcement to the Night Service field which would play when they put it into night service. Then in your vector you need to make sure its set as an "attendant vectoring" vector (its an option at the top you set to yes) and then you need a step that queues the call to "attd-group" and then possibly a goto step for "queue-fail".
Another way would be to use a service hours table in the vector and route it to an announcement outside of those hours, but i am assuming you want to allow the operators to control when they are not available.

This is all dependent on the first question I asked though. If 0 is configured as an "ext" in the dial plan then it would be a different configuration.

Thanks for your reply

Yes

Yes

No

Yes

I followed your advice but "change tenant" doesn't have a Night Service field, just Night Destination. Is that what you meant?

Yes, I want the operators to control when to put it into Night.

yes Night Destination is what I meant.

One other option you may need to change is on the console screen. Allow Night Service Calls To Forward? may need to be set to yes.

Let me know if this works.
