hello! we have an extension (A) with a covering extension (B) in voice mail. when a caller reaches ext A's voice mail and presses zero, the call is redirected to ext B, however, the call continues to ring and never rolls into ext B's voice mail. is there a way to make that happen? according to others at the same site with the same setup, theirs work, but for some reason this relationship does not. there are no bridged appearances involved and neither of them are set to SAC or CF.

cheers!

Do you have Audix? If so, you can set that up in auto-attend routing.

we do, but that's not what we're trying to do here. we don't want all voice mail messages for ext A to go to B...plus when A zeroes out to B, the call does not roll to coverage at all, so it wouldn't matter...it just rings indefinitely.
thanks!

How about if you create a vdn for the zero target, and then point that vdn to a vector that routes to messaging for B's exten.

this settings is on page 2 of the station form

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

actually, I believe we found the issue within our Audix System Parameters Features. The enhanced_cover_0 is not set up as the Transfer Type on page 3 of the parameter settings. it is set to enhanced_no_cover_0...that would probably supercede any setting done on the extension in the PBX. we'll try your suggestion, Matt, just in case and see if that works. we can't change the setting in Audix, it's a standard for this group and since it's an 'all or nothing' setting...that's a big NO on that. :)
thanks for all your help!
