We are trialling Zeacom Contact centre 5.1 and Avaya Ip office 7
We have the contact centre Queuing calls , can log in agents and get calld elivery , hold calls , park calls etc.
What we cant get going is the Softports.
They are supposed to be Tapi wav exts on the Ip office.
has anyone else done this , its displaying an error on the Zeacom saying that the port cant be started.

I suspect that its the way we have configured them in the Ip office.
We have Ctitapi pro license and 4 tapiwav licenses

You should be talking to Zeacom and the Avaya field trial team. IP Office 7 is only just on trial.

Yeah we are a reseller and we have plenty of Zeacom Experience but with NEC and cisco. We also sell IP office and want to get a demo system up so that we can evaluate it for future sales.
Both Avaya and Zeacom are being slow to respond. ( no sales involved in it yet). We normally find that the forum gives us quicker answers. What we are having trouble with is the wav ports configuration . I have seen references to a nawave32 driver that needs to be loaded on the server ? We cant find this on any of our User CD's ?

think the issue with lack of replied is lack of Zeacom exposure.

Id start laying the smack down on Zeacom and start screaming for help - especially if you are already a good customer!

1. Zeacom is not certified just yet on IPO 7 - only 5.0 (15) and greater, 6.0 (8)

2. Yes, you do need two drivers on the server.

a. The Avaya WIDWOD driver to support Tapi Wav on the zeacom server
b. Virtual sound driver IF you do not have a sound card on the server (most of them dont).

3. You need to enable WAV User on the TSP

If you call the Zeacom support group, they can provide you both files.

YOur going to have issues fetting support because you are on Version 7 however if Avaya haven't done any changers on version 7 TAPI and TAPI Wave it should work. Roll back if poss to 6.0.8 and see if it has the same issues maybe?

PS The config docs for IPOffice TAPI eave are on the Avaya devconnect site

[cheers]

Just heard from the grapevine that there seems to be an issue with IPO 7 and detecting Tapi Wav devices.

I second crashtest1000's post - downgrade to 6.0 (6.1 even) if you can.

Just a follow up to my last statement..

I just checked again and they got the IPO 7.0 working with the Tapi Wav so you should be good.

I suspect you just need the drivers.

We needed a sound card in the server - mothboard scard wasnt supported on server 2003 so we got a USB one. all good now. Found
the nawave32 drive and loaded it .
I think there were some tapiwav fixes in 7 as it worked better than it does after we downgraded IP office back to 6 .

On 6 it looks like every time something in the Zeacom is changed related to audio ( progress messages, auto attendant etc) you need to reset the abnnounceport service ( on 7 it works without this).
We will carry on testing to see how well it compares to an NEC system.
