YA Softphone over VPN 1

Im having an issue with a all of the YA softphones over a VPN connection. I have access to the ICP over the VPN and all LAN resources. The communications box on the YA client does show my softphone DN in there. When I try to dial a number using the dial pad, nothing pops up like it normally does. Any ideas.?
 
I have a simular type issue. I'm trying to use the YA softphone via our SSL VPN. The application has no issues communicating with the 3000ICP MXe via the VPN. Contacts are properly displayed, the proper phone lines and activated and the softphone can initialize the call. Symptoms are once the call is connected neither party can hear each other.

Our SSL VPN is not blocking any ports and the proper routes are configured to allow our default LAN to route to the VOIP VLAN. The SSL VPN is configured to give authenticated users the default network address 10.0.1.X and the VLAN network is configured on 172.16.1.X.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

This has been fixed in 4.1. I'm running it internally with WatchGuard's VPN - no problems.
 
Ok that was without a doubt the fastest reply I have ever witnessed. On top of that it's like you actually knew our hardware topology. I'm actually running 4.0 and also have Watchguard SSL VPN devices.

I guess I need to track down version 4.1 - We just implemented our VOIP solution on Monday and 4.0 was the version given to us by our VAR.

I wanted to finalize this post by saying that you where 100% correct. I received and installed YA 4.1.0 today and it has resolved all of our routing issues when combining the application with our SSL VPN.

Seems I spoke to fast! The softphone V4.1 is only working when connected directly to a public interface and using the Watchguard SSL VPN. As soon as I am in a NAT environment the application is only sending out voice and it does not receive the UDP (Voice) packets back.

I've tested this application in 5 different companies and it's always the same scenario.

You mentioned you have this running on a watchguard SSL VPN device. What version and firmware are you running for your SSL? I also noticed that the watchguard is not on Mitel's list of approved devices.

You sure you are not runnig IPSec vs SSL ? I am currently running Watchguard SSL Core version 5.0.1. Watchguard support recommended I upgrade to firmware 5.5 (Beta) however before proceeding I wanted your opinion as he could not provide me with the whitepaper as it's still beta!

Currently going crazy trying to solve this one. Especially as it works when not behind NAT.

 
I'm running the YA over a WatchGuard 550e - with Rls 10 software.

I'm using the WatchGuard IPSec client - haven't tried with the new SSL stuff yet - I will be going to a course on Wednesday and Thursday of this week to get certified on all of WatchGuard's products.

I've had no issues with NAT on the the external side of our network.
