I'm not able to start my X! What can I do?
When I run the Xconfiguratior, it automatically detects the following:
PCI probing found a:
PCI Entry: Intel Corporation|82810E
CGC [Chipset Graphic Controller]
X Server: SVGA
After that, I select:
ViewSonic E771 from the list (that's the monitor I have)
How much video memory do you have?
1 MB (I've also tried 2 Mb and 16 Mb, just to make sure
this is not the error)
No Clockchip Setting
Do you want to run 'X -probeonly' now?
Yes
I select:
8 bit:
[*] "640x480"
(I assume it's the "easiest" way it can work, even when it's not
my favourite resolution!)
It says "Xconfigurator will now start X to test your configuration".
Preparing...
And after that I receive an ugly "There is a problem
with your X configuration. You may go back and modify
your configuration or exit now".
What should I do after this!?!??!?
Thanks.
