WMP installation failures

Hello,

I'm just wondering if somebody had the problem I am currently experiencing on Windows 98SE :

Every Windows Media Player installation will suddenly freeze in the middle. The same thing will happen :

- During an installation of Internet Explorer with the Video installation checked.
- When I try to install Windows Media Player 7.1
- When I try to install Windows Media Player 9

Any idea ?

Try to uninstall WMP first?!

Hello Compgirlfhredi,

The installation will freeze even when I run the installers I've downloaded from microsoft.com.

Crazy isn't it !?
