Good afternoon,

We have 8 ISDN Lines and have just added 4 Analogue Lines.

The Analogue Lines only get used if all the ISDN Lines are in use.
The ISDN's ARS is pointing to the Analogue ARS as an additional route.

Calls out on the ISDN lines display our main number, how do I get the calls via the Analogue lines to also display this number, or be withheld?
.sN doesn't work on the Analogue lines like it does for the ISDN Lines?

Spent ages just trying different shortcodes and changing configurations here and there and have yet had no luck at all!

Thanks for your help!
Matt

You can't

>or be withheld

Prefix the dial string with 141 (on BT)

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

OK I didn't think we could show the ISDN number on the Analogue, so thanks for clarifying that.

How do I prefix the Dial String with 141 for only the Analogue ARS?

I'm just about's to call my Telephone guys and see if the lines can be made ex-directory or something, and do it on their end.

Sc - 9N
TN - 141N
Feat - Dial
Lg - line id of analogue group

or

Sc - ?
TN - 141.
Feat - Dial
Lg - line id of analogue group

depending on whether you use a 9 to access lines or not

The trouble with that is we already have a "?" shortcode for displaying our main number on all calls on the ISDN lines. :(

separating out via LG IDs and using different short codes to access different trunks is your only way. you can create buttons on the handset to also emulate these functions.

If it's an overflow, you don't need the shortcode to access it. Your ? Sc go to your ISDN ARS pattern, from the ISDN pattern (when full) goes to Alternate ARS pattern xx (analogue group). The analogue group should have... Code - N;, Telephone # - (code to block sending ID)N, Feature - Dial, Line Group - Analogue line group #.
Alternate: Place and order to the carrier to send your main business number from the analogue trunks. (if feature available in your location)

This makes sense, let me try it out today, and I'll let you know
Cheers :)

OK Tried this, in creating a "N;" short code, I received the following error from all extensions - "This conflicts with N; - Dial. The local extension will override the Short Code."

I tried renaming the ShortCode to "T" but this didn't work.

I can always make these numbers ex-directory, so that the number is withheld from the Exchange, but then I face the problem of actually linking the ARS to the Line. There doesn't seem to be any setting for this other than the line that is set in the relevant shortcode.

hmm . . .

OK, tried that, it just isn't working.
Telephone Number - 141N
Using system states, the dialled digits now just show as 1413 even though I'm dialling an 077 number.
