Windows Domain Controllers are time servers but I don't think you can get time from them for the IPO.

Is that correct?

No.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

If you can do a NET TIME \\x.x.x.x to the server and if you get a time like below then it should work.

C:\Users\<xxxx>NET TIME \\x.x.x.x
Current time at \\localhost is 10-12-2013 21:12:06

The command completed successfully.

I use Softperfect Network Scanner to reveal any NTP servers on a network (and for other things ;-)), but Yes if the server is an NTP server the system will takes it's time from it :)

Usually one of these act as a timeserver:
Default gateway
DHCP server
DNS server
Or pick a timeserver from the local provider like ntp.skynet.be or ntp.xs4all.nl or whatever provider you have ( it must be a professional provider of course to have its own NTP service )
