I tried to install Windows 2000 Workstation on a new computer with the following hardwares:
CPU: 800EB/256/133/1.7V
Motherboard: ASUS CUSL2 v1.02
Memory: 256 MB non-ECC
CD-ROM: 2 CD-ROMs
Modem: 3Com 56K WinModem
Harddrive: Western Digital 30 GB
The Problem: Each time I tried to install Windows 2000, it freezes. The point that it freezes is when after it probes and loads the device drives and copies necessary files, it tries to start up Windows 2000 to finish up the rest of the installation.
What I've done:
- Double checked my CPU settings
- swapped in/out CD ROMs
- changed memory
- swapped in/out HD
and it still freezes. Does any know what's causing this freeze? Is it hardware or software problems? I believe that I have met the minimum hardware requirements.
