Will a NAM 4.0 work on a MICS 7.0?

Quick question for you Norstar gurus out there. I have a fiber Applications Module 4.0 and was wondering if will work on a MICS with 7.0 software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So it would probably be cheaper to get an older version MICS software than it would be to upgrade the NAM wouldn't it?

I've got a customer with a MICS 4.1 and a NAM 4.0. The MICS is on a PRI and they are having calls dropped. They want me to try putting in a different MICS to see if it fixes the problem, but I only have 7.0 software. I was trying to keep from having to buy software if possible, and I really don't want to do anything that would cause me to have to reprogram their NAM. I need to get the MICS completely together so I can get the system ID and a PRI enabler. Then I can program the system before I swap it out so they don't have much down time. I've been trying to fix this "dropped calls" issue for over a month and everything I've tried seems to work for a few days, but then the calls start dropping again.

Upgrading the NAM to 4.1 will not kill the programming.

Upgrade the software in the MICS to 6.1 (nice stable release) and the NAM to 4.1. Should solve your PRI issues.

I've got a 6.1 software card. Do you know if I can just power down the system, pull out the 4.1 software, and put in the 6.1 without losing the PRI? Or do I need some sort of upgrade tool?
Thanks again for your help. You guys are awesome.

need to upgrade vm first...also will need a cd/rom"backpack" for upgrade to vm

Good point. The NAM needs to be at R4.1 to be compatible with R6.1 MICS. The R4.0 will sorta work, but there will be numerous transfer problems. Be aware that once you upgrade the MICS to R6.1 there's no going back without losing the PRI keycode.
