Why will my subform not resize automatically?

I've got a subform being displayed in datasheet mode. Problem is: it shows just the first one and a half lines - and cuts off the rest. I've got "can grow" set to yes for the "details" section of the subform.

I have noticed that when I first open the form, the subform will automatically expand and contract - but when I change to design view then back, then it freezes and won't resize. I can't find anything in access help (go figure) - Any ideas?

I thought that the CanGrow and CanShrink properties was relevant to printing only ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

I didn't know if "Can Grow/Shrink" had anything to do with it - I was kind of flailing, hoping to stumble upon the answer.

The good news is, I figured it out. The bad news is it was one of my "Lucille Ball" moments - I had turned off the divison lines and so couldn't tell that what had happened, in fact, was that the form needed to be scrolled up. D'oh! Well, if this happens to somebody else, hopefully this can save them a little aggravation.

PHV is right in that CanGrow and CanShrink only apply to printint. Access can behave very strangely when go between Normal View and Design View. I have a form that displays fine is you run the form, but if you go into Design View, then run the form, the bottom half of the form is blanked out, and the forms tabs disappear!
