Hi, I have one question about best pratice of Exchange Server 2007, Why install domain child for use Exchange server 2007 ?
Somebody know advantage about this configuration ?
Not sure why you'd setup a child domain just for Exchange. I'm doing just the opposite...I'm migrating my child domains out of the equation and going to a single domain for all my sites.
I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.
There are no more PDC's! There are DC's with FSMO roles!
Child domains and added AD complexity simply means more Exchange 2007 planning and deployment complexity. While Microsoft often recommends segmenting and defining sites clearly, they also recommend keeping the simplest AD environment possible to suit your needs.
