In the same vein as CajunCenturions post "What does your handle mean?" Where are you based?

Having read TSDragons post "What is the difference?" it struck me that we dont always realise where the person that is helping us is from. We often forget that the helper is asleep when we are posting our questions.

I know that in the past I have received more assistance from complete strangers from all over the world (and often from places I have never even heard of) than I have from people that I work with on a daily basis and who sit beside me.

For what its worth, I'm from Wicklow, which is 30 miles south of Dublin, Ireland.

ttmac OK --- Go 30 miles north from you & that's where I am ...... IFSC Dublin 1 :)

Similarly, Gourock, about 20 miles west of Glasgow. So we're coming full circle back to Dublin/Wicklow!

Waterlooville, about 10 minutes outside Portsmouth!

Wow, everyone so far has given a place in the UK. When I'm at Uni I'm in Coventry and when I'm at home I'm in Shepshed (a large village/small town near(ish) to Leicester)

I live in Lansdale, a suburb of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.

For those who don't know, Pennsylvania is one of the original colonies and sits right smack in the middle of those 13, giving it the nickname: the Keystone state.

Philadelphia was the 2nd capital of the US and boasts a nice long history (long as such things go on this side of the pond).

Lansdale on the other hand, doesn't boast much.

KempCGDR I'm quite near Sheppy. Was going to buy a house there but fell through.

I live in Voorhees, a suburb of Philadelphia in New Jersey.

89 miles from New York City.
48 miles from the casinos of Atlantic City.
16 miles from Philadelphia.
15 miles from "the most dangerous city" in America: Camden.
Surrounded by a peaceful forest to shield me from all that mayhem.

I live about 20 miles south of Richmond, VA (another of the 13) in a small town called Hopewell. It's major claims to fame (besides me) are US Grant's Civil War HQ (it is strategically located at the confluence of the James and Appamattox Rivers), and a paper plant.

Susan: I'm envious! I've been in San Antonio a number of times, and I love it. Especially love strolling along the RiverWalk.
