I have been really trying for the past couple of days to get the night-serv button to work on our 302c attendant console. Here is what I have done so far. I did the command change listed-directory-numbers and in the night destination field I entered in the extension I created for night service. I set this mailbox up as a bulletin board so they hear where closed and they cant leave a message. When the person at the desk hits this button for some reason the calls automatically role to the next station in the hunt group that the console has been assigned to. What am I doing wrong???

Are you using UCD hunt groups. Do you have vdn's and vectors.

On the hunt group screen (if it's a ucd hunt group) you will see a night service destination, use this field.

Look at the hunt group your consoles are in, you will find a night service destination on this screen.

The hunt group is setup as Ucd-mia for the console, we don't have vectoring with our system. I already have the extension defined in the night destination field but it's still rolling to the next person in the coveage path when the night-serv button gets pressed.

you have hunt-group night service

program a hunt-ns button on the console for the hunt-group number the attendant extension is in.

system night service and hunt-group night service operate independant of each other.

If I put a hunt-ns button on the console and give it the hunt group number of the console then wouldn't the message for night service be coming from that hunt groups extension. I wanted to setup a separate extension up for night service that's different because the message a caller hears at the end of coverage would be different then when the console goes into night service. I tried setting up the console with the hunt-ns button and i created a new hunt group just for night service apart from the hunt group the console is in and it didn't work.
