It isn't quite GA yet. SO i don't think you'll get an in depth description here. If you can login to to portal all of the pre-GA slides will give you that info.

Here is a boiled down list of new features for IP Office R9.1 that I culled from the 100 page document.
• Linux server or IP500v2 supported platforms ONLY; no IP500v1 chassis support
• IPO Select: a larger deployment of Server Edition
• One-X Portal Huntgroup Queue Gadget
• Mac softphone software update and license update
• Soft console support and access to One-X portal instant messaging
• Flare is rebranded as Avaya Communicator
• New version of the hellish UC module
• Analog trunk support for mobile twinning
• Paging to SIP endpoints via group page
• Speed dial override of call barring
• SIP trunk programming “simplified”
• Msg Waiting programmable button for programmable mailbox
• Huntgroup fallback not restricted to huntgroup destinations
• CCR and Advanced edition discontinued
o VMpro database functions and VB scripting moved to preferred edition
• Improved web management tool
o Includes user tool for Name, eMail, buttons, passwords, personal contacts, forwarding
o App Server user preferences (F9 options like email and housekeeping) moved to web mgmt
• VMpro server supported on Win7/8.1/2008(r2)/2012. OneX requires 2008/2012
• No official support for Windows XP for any applications (soft console, soft phone, etc)
