Hi All/Qtelcom,

I want to know if the IPO 9.0 will work with mobile apps like Media5/Bria via 4G etc

Was it the case now(IPO R9)with just 3rd party IP end point license? Need to know what other license is required to implement on a operational system?

Looking forward to hear on the mobile sip connection with IPO? Some customer are resorting to using Asterisk box to link to IPO as it is much easier to use the mobile sip(via Asterisk box)than connect directly to IPO. I prefer not to but need some clarification.

Do advise if it can be connected directly using static IP address etc

A IP Office, A VCM card of any kind, a ethernet connection, a 3th party IP Endpoint license, a SIP phone, a skilled engineer, a trained user and some coffee.

And if you really want to make this good:
- a suitable VPN firewall or SBC
- dedicated wifi coverage indoors

Kind regards

Gunnar

Thanks both of you. I read a few post and most of them did not confirm this solution. Good to know it doable:) + the above

Cust haVe the following: Avaya SBC + 3rd party end point + combo card + ISDN card with Essential edition. No teleworkers or preferred edition.

Not implemented for 3rd party Sip phone as we were not 100% sure this will work.

Do you know where can I get the network diagram/solution or job aid for the above scenario?

Thanks again Intrigrant! The docs is very helpful.

Btw, 1x mobile uses DNS to resolved to both 1xPortal & IPO so the 1x mobile can register.

How does a Bria Mobile sipphone register via an external network like 4G?

Is it via the firewall/port forwarding method?

Usually yes, it also register to a URL so your DNS Server must link the URL to a internal IP Address if the phone is used on the company wifi network

make sure you configure the BRIA (or iphone settings for it) to not fall asleep and not work any more. Had that happen when I implemented it and the iphone shut it off for power savings.

Hi All,

Is Avaya session border controller allow implementation of SSL VPN so we could use it for Bria mobile sip client instead of the usual VPN? I understand SSL has lower overheads etc.

Would this be a better option for IPO R9?
