What does your handle mean, and how did that become your 'name'?

Hello from a keen and regular reader, but only occasional participant... unfortunately my handle is almost as dull as dplank and jebenson's:

as = initials; risk = something I was involved in at work when I registered. You can imagine it took me a long time to come up with something so original.
