Hi all,
We have had our IP office 500 system for a few months now, but there is a symbol that appears and dissapears. It is located to the left of the G symbol (See below)
We don't have a clue what it is. I have looked in the handset manual and cannot find anything.

As you can see, it appears differently on each handset.

Also while I have this thread open, when I log into the Avaya IP Office software, I have a list of warnings saying that each user does not have a password. Is it critical that we have passwords?

Thanks

We have BT coming over Monday morning to replace the combo card.
BT monitor this forum, they called our company and spoke to me this after noon. Said they got our details from this site and a bit of googling. SPOOKY!

Avaya monitor it too, although they deny it. It's the only way they find out about bugs (and the workarounds) half the time, mainly because IPOSS is widely regarded as not being worth the paper it it's not even written on, so few take it unless they desperate/uninformed/forced to :)

If you only just bought this, I would ask BT why you are 2 maint releases behind on R9?? Should be on R9.1 really, that being the highest current GA release.

Or, as they are monitoring this thread, BT could answer for themselves??

Test you can actually dual emergency services from your system. Seen loads of BT sites so badly programmed it wasn't possible. Sad but true!

Spooky? Not so much.
You gave away enough info on "200:Ashley" and "202:Gary", and the lic's would confirm a match.

Any serious BT keeps a config copy, and a config export.

Why BT went on Google, beats me[smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar

For those of you who remember the bat and dragons from Atari Adventure, this video shows just what happens when the bat escapes to real life (as has nearly happened here Barbs). Lucky it's still trapped in your handset.

If the Dragons Escaped Atari Adventure

That was left handed.

Having only just seen the image - it really looks like the old (54xx) series symbols for a call on hold...

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.
