hi

I already have a 3300 Cxi pbx and i wonder what do i need to do, to program the 3300 to open a door in my oficce
that has a interphone to open the door.

I realy apriciate your help , because I don´t know what do i need to program .

I don't believe the Mitel system has a OPEN DOOR feature specifically, but it may be able to interface with a Door control system via analog trunks/extensions. You would access the trunk or extension and then dial digits specific to the Door Control system.

If you did not take enough time to get it right the first time...

What makes you think that you have time to fix it?

Are you trying to interface with existing equipment or building a solution from scratch

There are many solutions available to build from scratch.

If you're trying to modify an existing setup then options are much more limited. Part Numbers / Model Numbers would help.

The Cxi has embedded analog ports so you could use a Viking solution.
The C-2000 B ( Door gate entry unit)
The E40-ss (Viking Door phone)
The Ve-3x5 (Surface mount box) is what I would recommend.
You still need power ran to the door for the stryker.

The Viking is a little more expensive than the off brand products but trust me it is worth the price!!

just did a search on google for someone else recently there are pleny of sip and ip video/doorphone/with contact closure
solutions out there google it...

The easiest I've found is the VIKING door opener interfaced to an analog trunk in the 3300. VIKING has a couple of door opener interfaces.

Gents are right you can open the door with a 3rd party product attached to 3300 via either an ons or ls/gs port. I recently connected a CX II system to an analog ons port. Which worked this way.

basically twas a one way intercom. The user pushed the intercom buttom which is programmed up to go off hook, dial a multicall number which appeared on all the handsets. When answered and on the call chatting, the called party pressed a sequence of keys eg say ** the intercom's dtmf receivers are listening for tones and when detected trigger a build relay which inturn is wired to, and open the door.

many different ways to do it depending on what the door control system needs to see to cause it to open. I think the paging has a set of contacts if not used for paging. we used to use a ring detect relay on an ONS port for things like that.
