Any ideas??? Anyone ever seen this before?? HELP!!!!!!

Looks like some form of corrupt database, try manually formatting and reloading the system software.

I would agree. Seems that hardware, at least MB,CPU and HDD are working. VxWorks is able to load a boot file. I would recomend to replace the HDD, just in case.

If this system is brand new out of the box, try repartitioning (details how are in the Knowledge Base on MOL) - just a minor change in the bootline tho I don't recall what it is. Once repartitioned try a manual S/W install. If the problem comes back my guess would be the drive is toast. Regardless I'd call PS in the morning and get a ticket opened on it.

I was wondering if that KB was because of you? haha. How did you make out?

Wasn't for me. Perhaps you have me confused w/someone else. Knock on wood but I've never had to replace a HDD in any of my 3300s...yet anyway. I've certainly put my share of 'em in SX2Ks however.

I's a regular HDD and there is a chance that something whrong with it. I've replaced one, it died with clicking noise as any other HDD. Nightly backup is a friend of mine.

do you have the format process I can email also there is a new bulliten on mitel for formatting see below if you have an earlier release submit a post I will email you

Description/Symptoms
How to partition a new drive manually

Body/Solutions
As of version 6.1 UR1, you can partition a new drive manually when you install it. To do this, follow the instructions below.

Step 1
======
- Change the fields in the BootLine as shown below

boot device : motfcc
file name : Boot_Install
host inet(h) : Address of Ftp Server which holds the MN3300 software (i.e. 10.44.16.126)
other(o) : FixPartition

Step 2
======
- Reboot the system

The system will be doing the partition automatically, formatting the hard drive and installing the desired software on the box as usual.

Wow - I dont know weather I am REALLY happy about that or REALLY scared.

It sounds like Mitel is allowing us to now partition our own drives without buying their software...... i guess we will still need the base license in AMC but i am used to being required to wait for their HDD since its pre formatted - sounds like I can use any industry standard drive now.

I like it.... but does this mean the end of the free downloads on MOL is near????

Yes as software assurance on the 3300 is taking affect in the new year and you need a softwware assurance subscription to upgrade or call tech support.
