I am looking for a nice neat way to say "re-taken up"

basically...I want to say that I have started doing something (hobby) that I did when I was a child

I want to avoid "I have again taken up playing...."

any ideas?

The title reminds me of a childhood song.

[thumbsup2] Wow, I'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time.
I think I've forgotten this before.

Sounds like an affirmation of the doctrine of reincarnation.

...re-invigorated my interest in...?
...re-animated my interest in...?
...re-impassioned my interest in...?

Hmmm..."I became re-impassionated with her."

Whew...gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. <grin>

Re-enraptured.

Well, there's always "I have taken up x again." I believe that's the most common usage.

Nick -- what is it that you are doing again that you haven't been doing for a while? That might give us a hint !!

We haven't heard back from ncotton since the day he posted this last month.

Have any of the suggestions been useful, ncotton?

It could be that ncotton shares mind set with the fellow I heard one time over a PA system:

Perhaps "we havent reheard from ncotton" is to be considered as an improvement....

I started changing my underpants again. [:p]

No wait the clues in the OP tell us it was a hobby started in his childhood and his example states "playing".

This leaves alot to the imagination. Lets make it fun, everyone gets one official guess. No guess can be identical to a previous guess. Winner gets all fame/glory/entitlements associated with the correct guess assuming ncotton ever returns to declare a winner. Extra points if your guess is formed into a sentence with the intent of the OP.

I vote for the mandolin, because it's more fun, but I suspect the real answer is guitar.
