I found this old thread From tlpeter about Max distance on phones but, it does not include newer phones like the 95xx or the 14xx series. I am still searching but, thought I can ask here in my search.

Im sure they will be very similar as they are digital phones.

It will be about 1/2 mile (2640 ft) 1609 meters. But, unsure of the gauge of wire at this time

That is way too far.
You will need a glassfiber and an IP phone.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I wouldn't even consider this, no way. I can virtually guarantee you will have issues, you need a fibre or wireless link (if possible) and use IP :)

I have seen a phone who was just above the max length anfd it ran but then the display when off and the call was disconnected.

get an old Nortel system in there and use an ATA they can handle that kind of distance. (7200m or 26000') if need be use an old 3x8 and connect the analog line to an analog ext port on the IPO and then the ATA2 for an analog extension on site where you need it. Complicated but I can see that working and will drive any tech nuts that comes after you.

The 9508 needs power for the light and the display and will not work on that distance, they have problems working on close proximity already :)

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

I did find a doc on the it looks like 1200 meters or 3939 feet is max.
