has anyone upgraded a vUCA to ver 4?
Do I backup , install new ova and restore?
or do i do an online upgrade using AMC blades ?

I cant seem to find this scenario in the release notes or training docs.

I believe you have to do the backup and use the new .ova

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

I always prefer to backup and install from scratch, as I've had bad results from upgrades in the past.

if the blades are showing 'upgrade' then do it this way as it is a lot less time consuming and will only appear if there is a valid new upgrade. As you are using a VMware appliance you could just build a new one and restore it stop the old one and start the new one. Your hypervisor will still continue to take snapshots so is an easy way to upgrade and you can revert back if it fails.

The best thing about VM is that it is so flexible

Also, somewhere in he admin guide or release notes of V4 there was a note sayig if using the online upgrade method for vUCA to upgrade UCA 4 1st then the service link blade next.
