HELP (please)...
I've twi VPN profiles, one allows access to other nets when connected, the other does not. The latter works fine and I can get to clients on their 10.248.64.xxx domain.

The other connects fine, and shows my ip address as 192.168.5.xxx (changes each time). The cisco status shows 192.168.0.0 255.255.0.0 as being secured OK.

When I ping, or tracert, I get no replies. The cisco packets sent and encrypted increase, but there are zero packets received and decrypted.

Does anyone know if XP Pro does some funny local routing of teh 192.168 stuff?

It seems very strange that it works fine for the other client addresses.

Here is a copy of my route print...

Resolved -

Added a port to port mapping in WinRoute to ensure that protocol 50 is mapped through toe the laptop's private IP address.

Weird that this should be required for one VPN profile yet not another.

Dave-

I have a question, have you tried a Windows 2000 Pro to a XP and got the same results? That is an issue I am currently working on. I noticed you used protocol 50 to a Ip address, could you elaborate a bit more on your resolution.

Thanks,

JJ
