Does anyone know when Avaya Plans to release VPN Remote for 5600 IP Phones to connect to the IP Office? I have clients who wish to travel with IP Phones without having to configure them and/or VPN Devices.

We are on the 4.1 trial and I have deployed 1 vpn remote phone, using a cisco pix 501 and IP Office, the phone is in are MD holiday home in france and works a treat over his ADSL connection.

When you get those settings for the Linksys RV042, you'll make several people happy.

I wrote in this post how to do it on RV042, not so detailed but :)

Or do you need a full FAQ on this one?

Yes pls on the more detailed RV042 instructions.. I have spent days on this now with RV042 firmware 1.3.9 and VPNRemote 2.1 (232_4). I cant make this work and must have tried nearly every combination with the Generic PSK profile. The log on the RV042 is:
Oct 17 23:04:17 2007 VPN Log Ignoring Vendor ID payload [4a131c8107035845...]

Any advice gratefuly received.

Oh, Janni....

God Yes!!!!! Please make it a FAQ...

I actually get a different error than Simeon, but, hey, if its "been done", then I guess we'll all be good soon. :)

Thanks

Kris G.

I just hoped I didn't since I'm swamped with work, or lazy :)

I'll go over my settings after work and print them out here.

Avaya is saying that the full version of the VPN solution for the 5610 and 5621 will be avaliable Jan 08. There is a 180 day trial ready for use today(Check with your Distributor). There is not a current part number to order the full blown version today. More than likley there will be a (2) step process. Feature key RFA and a phone firmware upgrade. This process is being refined as we speak...

Anyone ever post a FAQ for the Linksy RV042?

Janni, were you ever going to post that FAQ with screenshots?

Thx.

Janni,

I'm having a hell of a time getting a phone to work. I believe I've followed these instructions, but I must be missing something. :(
