VPN phone setup for 9621G

Dear All,

One of my customer running with Sonic wall NSA firewall wants to put a single phone in one of their branch.I believe 9621G can be used as a VPN phone.Can anybody help me with the steps to establish a VPN phone to sonicwall.IP office version is 8.1 server edition.

You need to enable VPN functions in 9621G telephone? or you need to know all the steps about the make the VPN and the upgrade of telephone?

I have this problem the last week, it was hard to upgrade this phones, but in this forum help me a lot.

The fist step is upgrade the telephone to the version who enable the VPN, for the phones 96x1 the process is diferent at the 96xx. You need to download the Manager R9 and install it. In the telephone you need to put in the option of group the numbers "876" who makes the word VPN and save, this enable the telephone to support VPN.
After this you put all the files in the web server and put in the telephone in http server the ip direction of your machine with the web server.
The phone reboot at two times and after this you can edit the parameters of VPN and put in enable, for your VPN concentrator i use this manual to configure.

Its for Juniper but the process is the same, and for the download of the Manager 9.0 i have this ftp page of AVAYA.

You need R6.3 to enable VPN 96x1, that Firmware is available in R9.0 Manager
