Voicemail to Email on 10.0.0.13_1 (CX)

Is anyone out there running 10.0.0.13 and having issues with voicemail to email. Im trying to set this up for a customer but continue to have problems with the feature. I do not handle thier email so I am in a back and forth game with the email vendor. They are at the point where they are asking that I prove to them that the 3300 is attempting to send to thier mail server. So after calling mitel I got a few recommendations

1. Plug the 3300 into a hub with your laptop and run wireshark. RESULTS: No traffic headed towards the smtp server was found

Shouldnt I at least see the mitel trying to send packets to the public IP address? even if the public IP is blocking this traffic, Im thinking I should at least see the initial attempt from the 3300 trying to communicate.



2. Log onto the RTC and issue the following commands
bvpimcltdebug = 1, bvpimsrvdebug =1, and bvpimdebug=1.
RESULTS: No debug output was displayed at all

Mitel is claiming that there is a DPAR out now and to upgrade to 10.0.0.21 anyone else have this issue? I dont really see this fix in the release notes though.

Again, has anyone else ran into this in this version.
 
Not that helpful but we are running 10.0.0.10 and have no problems with VM to email.
I cant see an upgrade resolving the issue.

If your confident in the 3300 programming its got to be a mail server issue.
Unfortunately I have no experience of diagnosing faults in this area - do the logsindicate anything?
 
The system creates logs when it tries to send the email.

What do they say.

no record of the emails being sent in the software log, will try the upgrade tonight.
 
You checked the Software Logs Right?, Not the Maintenance logs.

No logs means programming is wrong. Upgrade will do nothing.

we think we have the same issue, voicemail to email which was working, has broken in 10.0.0.13_1

wasn't aware of 10.0.1.21 until this thread (NB: above 10.0.0.21 is written)

we too saw nothing sniffing traffic, and nothing related to email/voicemail/SMTP in the logs Software or 'all maintenance'

I agree, there doesn't seem to be anything in the 10.0.1.21 release notes about this being fixed....

we haven't tried:
bvpimcltdebug = 1, bvpimsrvdebug =1, and bvpimdebug
 
I think that 10.0.0.13_1 has issues. We were told to wait and not use it.

When setting this up, some network/email administrators set rules on their SMTP mail relays to disallow mail passing through that is not originating from an "authorized" sender. Thus our network guys require that we give them the IP address of the system(s) (both the 3300 and/or the NuPoint - if used). In these situations, if your mail relay is blocked, your VM-to-Email will sit in queue forever, so be sure this is on the 'things to check' list.

Just upgraded a test system from 10.0.0.13_1 (MCD 4.0 - PR1) to 10.0.1.21 (MCD 4.0 - SP1), and voicemail to email started working again (no other changes made)

caller's CLI is not shown in the subject of the message, which worked in v9, but not v10 (mentioned in another thread here previously.....)
 
Embedded voicemail to email was "broken" in 10.0.0.13_1 according to Mitel tech support and It is fixed in 10.0.1.21.
