Voicemail for Attendant

Hi,

Is it possible to put voicemail for our attendant softconsole? If yes, is there any warning light in the console so operators would know if there was incoming message?

My understanding for clarification and edification...

One must keep in mind that the CM/Definity PBXs consider an attendant call very different than an extension call. One can and often does assign an extension to each console. This extension can certainly have a VMbx behind it - identical to any other ext having a VMbx (cover path to VM hunt group).

Once the 'switch' processes and routes a call to the console, it is there to stay until it is manually processed by the person at the console. Given this scenario and explanation, I don't know of a method to provide coverage for a console. I would definitely defer to others having more experience, embracing a new understanding of my statements.

346pt, your correct, I'd just get reception to say to the customer they're on the phone and put them through, the recipient can decide if they want to ignore it and let it go to voicemail.
