VM Lite and After Hours 1

I have a client that is setup with VM Lite and one hunt group for taking orders using linear hunt. They would like to send calls to an after hours messages when they close. I have turned on voice mail for the hunt group and set up an after hours message. This works but has the disadvantage that hunt group calls go to voice mail if they do not answer the phone quickly enough. They DO NOT want any calls to go to voice mail.

Is there any way to send after hours calls to a message using VM Lite without enabling voice mail for the hunt group?

Set up another hunt group for the night service with no members and enable voicemail. Select this hunt group as the Night Service group in your other group with the members. Program a button on a phone to set this group to night service. Calls will go to the voicemail when in night to the new group's voicemail. Setup in one or more of your users the Hgroupname in their source code tab to light their MW led when there is a message in the new night group mailbox.

Thanks dphoneguy24! The client does not want any voice mails left but they want a closed message played to after hours callers. I used your idea of a dummy hunt group with no members in it. I put that into permanent night service. I then setup a time profile to send after hours calls to the dummy hunt group. It works great!

Thanks for getting me thinking in a different direction!!
