Hey guys,

I have an IPO 500 running 4.2(4) and VM 4.1(40) and I have reception breakout set for all users to transfer calls back to their specific hunt groups. My client wanted to know if I could interject a custom .wav file in instead of the standard Avaya "Please wait. Transferring to (whatever number)." I thought I had set this up along time ago when the system was first programmed but apparently i didn't do it right (or didn't do it at all) and now i can't remember how i would even go about setting this up.

Thanks in advance.

First upgrade the VMPro, you need to have 4.2.19.
You can get strange thing not being on the same version.

Firslty, most of theses prompts are actually two or three wav files play in succession i.e "please wait" is a seperate wav file to "transferring to" it just strings them together. If you want to try and make your own here is the list off all the promts.. ... you need to record in the right format and name yours the same as the originals and replace.

Make a back up, if you upgrade afterwards then it will be gone!

Also bear in mind if you start playing with default prompts it may use them in more than one place so you might start getting some wierd messages from your VM!!
