VM between sites not working.

We had NAM 4.x boxes at each site, going over a T1. We had it setup so we can forward VM’s from site to site, which worked fine for some time.

At one site the VM HD crashed and they had to put a new one in. We can pass VM’s from the site with the new HD to the second site, but when we try to pass vm’s from the second site to the site with the new HD, it comes back with an error saying mailbox not found.

The new HD has OS2 Warp, which the one that died had. The new HD is a slight newer version of NAM then the 2nd site.


Any ideas how issues to look for when setting up 2 vm systems to pass vm’s back and forth between sites???

Do you have a backup of the SEKUR files from the Nam that crashed, Your DIGITAL Networking or AMIS files are missing on the NEW HD, You will need to reload the software if you still have it or contact the vendor that sold you the NEW HD and have them get it installed for you.

Yeah didn’t have the backup files. I don’t touch the phone system; I am just trying to help out. It’s weird since it half works, the new box can send stuff to the old box, but not vice versa.

I do know they have an application that runs on the PC that can configure the VM sort of, allows you to change the host, domain etc. it’s a GUI app but not sure of the name since everyone is out today. So would that app be the digital networking files you’re talking about by chance?

What is AMIS files?

Is there any configuration steps we need to do on the VM on the new box that they may have missed?

Look at the AMIS foles that is what allows the 2 voice mail systems to talk to each other.

I believe it is a software package I have not installed it, but I do know that is how the vmails communicate. Maybe the other drive had it loaded and this one does not. Can anyone else help shed any light on this.
