ipo 412 ver 3.2.53
When a user listens to and deletes their last message from mailbox. The prompts start repeating "hit *D or hit # to skip" When you hit either one the same prompts repeat again, until you hang up.
Has anybody else run into this?

Yes, I have a 406V2 3.2 (53) with the VM Pro 3.2 (28) on Windows Server 2003 doing the same thing. It seems random because sometimes it will work and other times it does exactly as you describe.

There is a patched verion of 3.2.28 out, but unsure of what it may fix or break. The version is 3.2.28.2, if you have access to avaya's ftp site, u will see it there. Its also password protected. You must get the p-word from avaya tier3.

one user, all users, random users. delete mb, and re-create.

I have a customer with this same problem. It seems to happen when there is more than one new message, if there is only one message, it doesn't happen. It is happening on all mailboxes.

It started happening after upgrading them to 3.2.17. I haven't open up a case with Avaya yet, but I am guessing it's a known issue.

long shot here,

go to vmpro
look at user to see if it has a custom sart point set up. if not, set one up. see if it will work that way. then try taking it back out.

try changing the default start point if it is an issue with all exts. the new start point and actions might get around the issue.

worth a try, i think.

do the star, the d, and the pound work for other inputs, if not, dtmf reciever may be the issue.

All users. The *D does delete the message, the first time used. Have not played with custom start points yet, there is over 90 users.

The patch 3.2.28.2 fixes the vm service stopping issue.

The prompts start repeating "hit *D or hit # to skip" When you hit either one the same prompts repeat again, until you hang up"

I recently upgraded a cusomter to IPO 3.2.56/VMPro 3.2.28 and started having this same issue. Anyone know if it's fixed in a patch?
Mike

I have same issue with a 9 site SCN. I found it myself making test calls and the customer has not found out yet. they are running 3.2.17 and 3.2.15

I opened a ticket with avaya for 3.2.28, they have not gotten back to me yet.
In the meantime, I am running previous version 3.2.15 of the voicemail service. It only does the repeating thing intermittently, instead of every time.

Last time I inquired was Nov 20, and there was not a patch at that time. The avaya tech I am working with will not be back in the office until next week. I will let you know as soon as a patch is available. Although in the past I have been able to get custom patches within a week. So we might have to wait until the next maint release.

I have also opened a ticket with Avaya. I will let you know what they say. If you could do the same it would be appreciated.

Thanks
