Visual Voice button - shows "Invalid" on 9608 phones

When I set "Message button goes to Visual Voice" in System/Voicemail, the messages button will take you into Visual Voice correctly. However, customer wants Messages button to go to audible vm prompts. Using Visual Voice button on 9608 sets (Emulation/Visual VM). Displays on phone as "Invalid" and is non-functional.

Have removed button, mereged, replaced/moved, same issue no matter where button goes.

Otherwise voicemail operations working fine. Just the Visual VM button. Anyone else see this?

You could make a button with dial *17

I think that's what we're going to do. Messages button will go to Visual VM; create a button labeled "Audible VM" that will dial *17

I noticed that as well, on 2 jobs ive just done with 7.0

kinda sucks, as I like the messages button to go to voicemail, so it forces a password change and name recording.

it works like this on all the 96xx phones.

I can remember something about that a visual voice button does not work on these phones.
But i cannot find it at the moment.

Looks like this is the case with the 95XX phones as well. Just raninto this on my 9508 Demo unit.

no need to dial *17 for a button.

just create and label as your suggestion and create a voice mail collect button with no action data
