They are still valid, and MS doesn't plan on updating these anytime soon. This information is from Ken Levy at last week's DevCon. He also said that the reason nothing new is planned, is because it costs so much to prepare them and so few developers have taken the VFP exams. Like any other area in Microsoft, exams are not subsidized, so they have to pay for themselves.
