I've put some photos on a site as thumbnails and when I view them in preview they work great. I just put them on my test site to view 'live' and they don't work! Can anyone help me please.

The link is :
Thank you in advance.

Eileen

check the image path, they don't seem to be pointing at the right location

you may also want to use a virtual path not a path to your C: drive

Tony,
Thanks for your reply. I checked my image paths and as far as I can see they're pointing to the right location (!)
What do you mean by using a virtual path - sorry I am a very new newbie.......
Many thanks
Eileen

Eileen,

A virtual path is the path from your web directory root.

At the moment you've got a paths from your C drive, and the browser can't find your pics!

Look at the sources for your first 2 pics...
<img src="thumbnails/1_Windsor_Sign_jpg.jpg"

The others have this type of path
img src="file:///C|/Keithvilla/thumbnails/5a_Communal_Pool_jpg.jpg"

I would guess that if you 'lose' the 'file:///C|/Keithvilla/' bit in the other paths, your images should appear.

Hope that works! lol

Thanks so much for the reply. However, I'm still having problems. I've changed the first thumbnail as you suggested and it does now launch in a new window but I still can't view the larger photo.

I'm sure I'm missing something very simple but could you please have a look and let me know what you think it might be.

I would really appreciate it.

Regards,
Eileen

Eileen,

Have you uploaded the changed pages, cos I'm still getting loads of red crosses on the link that you posted initially.

This may be a general/simple response but sometimes thats all it takes.

Have you uploaded your images. I usually make a seperate folder for images and direct the url to that folder. I actually have before created a photo album with dreamweaver and realized later that I forgot to upload the images to the site.

What I mean is that I uploaded the webpage but not the images. So make sure everything is push over to the site.
