Registry shows it as a Windows Media Video file

OK, the video format doesn't matter to much, but, if I want to play a video say DivX/AVI how do I go about playing the clip in an application?

Well for just the avi you could use that animation control, but it sounds like you want to be able to use different formats so I would suggest that you look (download ms's latests and install it) for the Windows Media Player. You will find it at the bottom of the components dialog list.

Good Luck
