Hi Craig

Thanks for the reply.

There hasn't been a Setup Wizard for several versions now

I take it then you mean versions 7 and 8? (I'm still using Ver 6 and that has it!)

Thanks Mike

That's right. 7.0 was the first version that didn't have the wizard

Just downloaded the file Craig mentioned, so I'll give it a try

Thanks again

Just one thing

Does anyone know how to turn off the auto complete when you type in commands in the command window?

It seems as though this posting and its more recent threads/replies have gotten off topic
VFP 9.0 Beta Release

If you have a new and different question, create a separate posting.

Good Luck,

Not sure I agree there as the title of this thread was "VFP 9.0 Beta release"

I see several different questions have been asked about its set up, error messages etc but as you say, ... create a separate posting then so be it, please disregard my last post (Turning off auto complete)

Thank you
Lee

Keep AutoComplete on. It takes some getting used to, but once you do, it will definately speed up your development.

I'm posting this as followup to my September 15th post regarding GdiPlus.dll which is required to run the VFP development program if you want to run it on Windows 98 or Millennium (not a configuration supported by MS). Of course the apps you create will run on any Win95 and newer without GDI+.

Currently there is no single conclusive system or utility to identify which applications on your system are using GDI+. The more germane question might be, where are all the copies of GDI+? While there is currently no conclusive method, one could search for all of the GDIPLUS.DLLs on the computer in question. Because applications typically install GDI+ in their program directory, you can make an educated guess about the application that is using GDI+ based on the file folder. Windows installs its copies of GDI+ under the %%SysDir%%\WinSxS directory. Note that this method is not foolproof. Some applications have renamed the DLL so that it no longer appears as GDIPLUS.DLL. Other applications may have installed their own copy of GDI+, but use the system-provided DLL.
