Hi. Quick question. On my Partner 18D and Partner 18 phones, how can I use the phone verify what extension it is currently plugged into? I have a new store (well, new to me) that uses Partner 18 and I've only ever worked with Norstar phones. If I need to, I can move a Partner 18D phone to each office but I'd like to have to avoid tracing all of the extension back to the network closet.

Thanks in advance!

Call each extension from one of the 18D's, or have someone walk around to each extension and call an extension you are sitting at, preferably a display phone. Have the person walking to each extension make a floor plan of each verified extension. I hope this is what you are looking for. If not, please be more specific.

We all need a little help once in awhile. Tony the Phoneman..

That's basically what I plan to do, but I was hoping that I could press a feature code on the 18-D and see what extension that phone was. On my own and trying to avoid running back and forth a million times.

Feature 00 will put you into the program mode, and the display will say "PROGRAM EXT XX"

The Feature 00 again to exit, or lift the handset and replace it.
