I have a 2nd tenant on a system, where calls ring in directly to an ACD off their main number. This ACD hunt group is controlled by a vector.

I need to add to the existing vector stating when the system is night, go to this extension. How does the step go and where should I put it??

I'll also going to need to put a night button on a 8410D phone as well for this tenant to put the phones in night. Is this a hunt group night button? What do I need to do here?

Thanks,

With vectoring you really can't use a night key on a station. You would put Time-of-Day routing in the vector: 'if time-of-day = all 17:00 to all 08:00 go to step x'. You can also include staffing checks; 'if staffed agents in skill x = 0 go to step x'.

Also, don't forget the holiday table you can use in your vector so that calls will route to the night extension when the office is closed:

goto step x if holiday in table x --> vector step.

cha holiday x --> to enter the upcoming holidays.

this helps?

You can have a route-to step at the beggining of the vector which will route to the extension of a hunt group without any members or coverage path just a night service destination.
When night service button, for this hunt group, on a telephone set is pressed, the vector will route the calls to the night service destination assigned to the hunt group, otherwise it will skip this step.

Thanks everyone. Do I put this before my first couple lines? Where should I insert this?

The vector first says to wait 2 seconds, route to the ACD hunt group number, and then to que to music if all agents are unavailable, and then to go to step, which plays some announcements.

Jimtr, that's my problem. When a hunt group is controlled by a vector ("Vector = Y"), there is no night destination choice in the hunt group.

Sorry if i wasn't clear enough.

I meant that you'll create a NEW hunt group (not vector controlled) just to route calls to night destination.
The route-to command to this new hunt group will be the first command in the vector and will be executed ONLY if the hunt-ns button on a telephone set is pressed.Otherwise the vector processing will continue to the next step where you'll route the call to the vector controlled hunt group.

I have a simple way to do so.

create a hunt group and agent ID, add "route-to number ___(Night number) if staffed-agent in skill __(your hunt group) < 1"

then you can control the night message by login the agent ID, it can be a button or only login by hand

that's pretty cool that way. the customer ended up liking the schedule though.

but when I set the schedule up that jimtr explained, the night went on, but didn't go back in the morning? any ideas?

thanks,
