We're currently on CM 2.2.2 and looking for a way to create a good print out of the Vectors that we have. I've messed with visual vectoring a while back and wasn't impressed. Anyone have any other ideas?

I do a list of vectors, then use the Report Feature in the Advanced Tab of ASA. The Command I use is like this:

disp vect 1, disp vect 2, disp vect 5, disp vect 10

Up through all the vectors I have in the system.

I set the Export screen capture to file and then execute.

It provides a great print out.

Quoting only proves you know how to cut and paste.

You can also use this as a backup step by scheduling it to occur monthly.

For the first vector:
Go to reports.
Display Vec x
Export Screen Capture to File
browse to the appropriate network or local drive and to a folder you create, i.e. C:\Monthly Backup\list vector.txt
Be sure to check the Append to Existing File Always box
Hit OK and schedule it to run as often as you need (monthly in my case)i.e., monthly 1:05:00 am

For the remaining vectors:
Go to reports
Display vec xx
Export Screen Capture to File
browse to the same file you did in step 1
Check box (should now default to checked)
Hit OK and schedule as above, i.e. 1:06:00 am.

When you schedule, make sure it is during a time your PC is on and ASA is available (without any instances running).

After you've scheduled all of your vectors, if you need to remove one, go to the "Schedule" tab in your status window (F10), right click on the pending report and hit "Delete".

You can also right click them individually to "Run Now" or "Abort" which will stop it it from running next time, but won't delete it from the schedule.

Good luck!

+1 on Utilcall. It's a great tool for documenting what is in your system.

I see that. I've downloaded the 10 day trial and it really looks like something we can use. Thanks so much for the info everyone!!!
