VDN Setup - Measure Internal or None

I have a G3si that I need to add some more VDN's too. For the VDN's that route ACD calls into our call center, I have been using Int in the MEAS field. For those that go to staff or other office people, I've been setting it to None.

I'm finding that I've run out of Int. When I tried to add another VDN it gives me the message that there are not any more BCMS Monitors. Unless there is a way to add more (I don't think there is in the G3si). I freed up a few by changing some INT to None but that still leaves me just 1 free right now.

BASIC CALL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (BCMS)
Measured Agents Per System: 46 354 400
Measured Splits/Skills: 22 77 99
VDNs: 98 1 99
My questions is, how does this affect anything if I just make the Meas None? We run BCMSvu for keeping track of agents and call queues, but I don't have CMS or anything like that. Am I going to loose call information on ACD calls if I do not have internal VDN monitoring?

For the most part, I don't have any choice. I have 35 more VDN's to add and the most Internal measurments I can free up is probably 4 or 5. If it doesn't really matter, then no problem, but if it's going to affect any call data I need, that's a different story.

Hopefully I explained this clearly enough.

Thanks

Mike

If you don't turn measuring on, you will not receive any BCMS data on the VDN.

It wont affect your agent or split/skill reports. If you report on VDNs for call volume, etc, you will not get any data for the VDNs that are set to measured 'none'

We don't do any reporting by BCMS. The only thing we are pulling out of BCMS is agent information...talk time, average time to answer, number of calls taken, etc. and other information like that. Our call volumn reports are generated from our call records that are created through our custom call center software. That software keeps track of all the call record information and times associated with each step of the call.

I do use the List Measurement sometimes, but not very often.

It sounds like I don't have to worry based on how I am using BCMS, so that is good. I might change the VDN to a trunk that doesn't see a lot of traffic to None and check some of the reports to see if I'm missing anything I need.

Thanks for the information, Wil and AWYN.
