Good morning[bigears]
I have a call manager 3.1.4 and Audix voicemail..

I have taken an extension 4639 and assigned to coverage path 84 which forwards to VDN 3565 which is a call tree.

The problem... when calling from the outside world (xxx-4639) and you hit option 4 which goes to extension 5016 and after 4 rings it goes to VM like it should, but if you call internally extension 4639 and hit option 4 it will ring forever. Same thing happens when a call is transfered to extension 4639.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Check your coverage path and see if Cvg Enabled for VDN Route-To Party? is set to n.

If it is, change it to y and try again.

sorry that didn't copy and paste the way I wanted it too. I don't see this Cvg Enabled for VDN Route-To Party

If you list trace on the vector what does it show?

If you perform the command: disp event

Enter a date and time range of the test call and set the vector number to the right number and see if it shows any events.

The thing that confuses me is that you said it works when you call the extension externally.

If you don't have the Cvg Enabled for VDN Route-To Party feature in the coverage path it sounds like you have a version of CM that doesn't allow double coverage.

Cvg Enabled for VDN Route-To Party didn't come along until 5.1 I believe.

Ok hmmmmmmm thats a bummer. well I will keep playing with it and see what i can figure out, and when I do 9 (or if) i'll post the fix in here.

Found the fix[peace]or atleast a work around. I took extension 4639 and call forwarded the extension to the outside number 9,XXX-4639. Thanks for all the help Stinney

I didn't realize that you weren't sending the call to 4639 and letting it ring (which is what the coverage path would do).

You might be able to call forward the extension to the VDN if you need the menu options. Otherwise, just leave it as you have it.
