It's time again for a new thread for the most popular Tek-Tips topic ever.

How do you like this ironic plate?:

Dave, Dave, Dave ...... Only you :)

I'm loving this thread, as I now live in a country where reg plates can't be changed / vanitised (Ohh err Missis)

My two cars are 02-D-xxxxx & 01-WX-xxx (Oh & the one No 1 son "borrowed" is 00-D-xxxxx)

Here the closest is messing with the numbers:
08-D-8080 -- so it looks like 0808080
06-G-11911 - on a Porsche
01-C-10 -- cos its an oxymoron (?) etc etc

Hi Santa,
Same thoughts here, how are you doing ( You've been a little slack in updating the blog [wink])

Another photoshopped picture, Dave. In Pennsylvania (which I could tell by the colors of the license plate) the maximum length for a fanity plate is a combination of up to 7 letters, numbers or spaces.

Still, I appreciate the irony. I'm a fan of irony. I bought my dog a Michael Vick football jersey.

Saw this on the way to work this morning...

MUMMBLS

I'm guessing "MUMBLES" was already taken. [bigsmile]

This one took me a minute - fortunately (and I've never said this before) it was a long red light.

One grateful one

Turkbear, you are absolutely right. And to both of you, my delay in responding here was due only to my guilt in not updating my blog...but with clearer conscience I can report that I've just moments ago completed today's update.

Thanks for your interest and asking about progress with "My Adventure with Cancer"...As a self-professed Semi-Colon, things are looking (and feeling) fine. [As I said in the blog, "I've had hangnails that hurt worse" <grin>]

Your continued support is an important part of my mental health through it all. [2thumbsup]

Hi,
Glad to hear it Dave...

Today I saw this one

I suspect a self-help guru ( or lifestyle coach, as some are now called)

A few days ago: BRTSH WI

"British without I" is quite a longshot.

Is there a town in Wisconsin that resembles "Brtsh?"

I saw this one parked outside the office
XK PIN - A bowler, perhaps? The X representing a strike, and K PIN being short for Kingpin.

lisaharris - I think you nailed it with British West Indies. Good thing, too, since it had been several hours since I had one of those head-slapping DUH moments! [bigsmile]

My guess would be:

Escapin'

P.S. Why isn't the [ignore]
[/ignore] tag listed on the TGML help page? I took a lucky guess...

Annihilannic.

In the UK, most people would probably associate "WI" with the "Women's Institute" (which used to conjure up images of jam and cake making, and village fetes, although I don't believe that this describes the modern WI at all).

Annihilannic - I would vote for your guess on XK PIN. Good catch!

GS

P.S. I guessed right about the spoiler tag, too, the first time I used it. [smile]

Two this morning:
UA FAN (had a "BAMA" decal on the rear window)

BYUBABY (this being Louisiana, I presume it means "Bayou Baby", although it could be that the owner, or one of his/her offspring, went to Brigham Young University).

I'd like to change the world, but I can't find the source code.

FOXFIRE
I just presume that here in MI FIREFOX was already taken.
Oddly enough, its what my parents still call the program no matter how many times I correct them. (I gave up awhile back)
