Hi there !

We have a slight problem over here that makes me rather unhappy, can anyone make me happy again ? it concerns;

I have an IPO500 V2 running great with 6.0.(8)
With exception of the amount of linenumbers i seem to have......

Normally in the older 406's i would build functioncodes like 430x,dail,.,"linenumber"

in netlines i would make an ip line called "linenumber" and then fill in the ip adresses of the other location.

I have done this also with the ipo 500, however, with 1 exception, there are only 40 orso ip routes possible , these routes are in the old models named per location like
(All 95 of them)
;
201.100.10.0, 255.255.255.201.100.10.1
201.100.11.0, 255.255.255,201.100.11.1
etc.etc.

I have changed this to 1 line in the ipo 500;
201.100.0.0, 255.255.0.0, 0,0,0,0 wich would take care of all routes according to the manual.., and i am using scn in the netlines config.

However , i cannot use the functioncodes, they simply dont connect to the other side, and when i put all the ip lines in the config of the ipo500 it dies with a red led, so;very dead..haha

Any help maybe overthere?

You can use those ip lines when it is set for SCN.
The limit is 32 and not one more!
You need to set it to H450 or none (if available)
You need to route by shortcodes but not with SCN.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

You have a whole lot of subnets on that network.

I just want to clarify what you are looking for. You have 95 different systems that you set up IP Lines to (h323,sip,ses), All of which are on different subnets. Correct?

That limitation is only for IPOs in an SCN, but if they were different systems connected via SIP or H323 he is only limited by the VCMs right?

SCN is limited.
Iproutes only by the memory size.
If a config gets too big then the ipo automatically erases stuff that is not needed while you send it back.

Yep normally we use H450, but the techno's used scn for some reasomn...

i just tried making 1 netline without the scn and just on 450 and it works, ill use tomorrow to put them all on 450 , i am actually already happily suprised by the functioning of 1 line :)

Avaya have programmed this limitation in to the software lately.
In older version you could just go over the 16 SCN site limit.
Lately this limit is increased to 32 but Avaya also disabled the not supported option to go beyond that limit.
Now you will get an error when you go beyond that limit and you cannot send back the config.

Ok, i changed all the netlines into H323 with "450".
The system now gives out "no netline" when people choose the function 438x, wich goes to netline 12, wich goes to 201.100.4.65 wich is the avaya at that remote location.

I tried with or without direct mediapath, gives the same problem.

I tried getting somekind of log from the systemstatus program, but it doesnt show the logiles i am used too.

When i try to start up the original montior program , it cant connect to the avaya, it asks for a password, but then goes "trying to connect" and simply never connects....

Anyone had the same prob with monitor or with these connects ?

Try setting it to "None"

Do this at both sites.

Mmm, tried that,

I started the monitor from the 438 site, but it shows no connects at all when the avaya500 site calls to the 438 site.

So i think the problem is at the avaya 500 site ?

when the avaya500 site calls out to the 438 site, it takes at least 4 seconds to show the no netlines problem.

i have added a pic of the ipo500

The monitor password is password (default)
If it is changed then it does not connect.

There must be something wrong at one or both ends.
Begin with the basics.
Make an ipline on both sites and make an iproute on both sites.
Build a simple shortcode for one extension and try calling that extension.

aw that's frustrating!! like a movie that cuts off with ten minutes to go!
I wanna know!! :)
It musta been funny...

Hahaha

The monitor gives me all information at this moment, so it works great !.

The ip lines work also, all machines are connected as 1 hive again. :-0

It keeps calling me ; You wanna play a game of chess?

(yeah yeah, old, but still funny)
