Using a 9508 DS handset on IPO 500 2

Is it possible to get a 9508 to work on a IPO 500 Server? I thought if I loaded a 9508 .bin files to the SD.

Is this possible?

9508 situs out of the box, 94xx don't work.

You need a DS port. The needed firmware sind be available on the SD card already.

Thank you I'll connect it to a DS port and see if it boots up. Would a 9508 work by any chance on the SOE?

The 9508 needs R7 or later - see the matrix

Give it a try and see what happens. Sometimes unsupported phones will work in a very basic way - but not recommended for production!

Well the 9508 did not boot up I tried to open the SD card on the SOE and 500 but could not.

What is interesting is that I was able to log a 9608 in just fine to an extension with an IP address. The display came up but the phone keeps looking for a file every min or so.
