Using 3904 on a MCK

Has anyone used the MCK Gateway to MCK extender and deployed 3904? Will this work? We are replacing a Norstar MICB with a CS1000 so I need to change out phones at the far end.

Are your MCK's on the old MCK box and to run 3904? Did you need to upgrade the MCK box to firmware v8.3?
