Hello,

This my first post.

I have a new Avaya IP Office 500 V2 R8.1.
The phones are 9608 models.

I'm in the process of creating several "User Rights" records for the different kinds of employees at the office.
I have created the "Appearance" button in the user rights.
Is there a way to insert some special symbol or variable that will indicate the extension of the user?

Today each user has their own individual button programs. Each user has 3 appearances labeled with their extension number. For example user 123, has the label "123" for each of his/her 3 appearances. I now want to do the same thing but with User Rights. That way I can easily change many users at once in the future.

I'm able to get the appearances to work fine. But I haven't found a way to create the labels for all the users in an automatic way. They appear on the 9608 phones as: "a=", "b=" and "c=". A possibility that I'm considering is labeling the buttons "Line1", "Line2" and "Line3". I much rather keep the existing extension labels. That way the users will not know anything changed.

Nope, better to use Call 1, Call 2 etc anyway. The handset tells them their extn number already, surely they don't need to be told 4 times on the same screen :)

BTW, if you just leave the buttons blank in the user rights it will keep what's already programmed, so just programme from 4 onwards :)

Thank you, but my the purpose of using UserRights is that I want to stablish uniformity across the company. Right now its a mess. So, my plan is to program all the buttons for all the users with userrights.
