I have a user with Outlook 2003 that states every time he exits Outlook he loses his Autofill nicknames.
He states that in Tools\Options\E-mail Options\Advanced E-mail Options both Automatic Name Checking and Suggest names while completing To:, CC:, and BCC fields are checked.
Is there something else missing in this persons set-up?

Check if they have access to the directory containing the outlook.nk2 file. It is in a hidden folder in their profile. If that isn't being retained for any reason, that will give this problem.

It appears that the cache file is not being created for this user. Does anyone have any idea what may cause this, and a possible resolution? Would deleting the workstation profile work? We have already tried deleting and recreating the users mail profile on the machine with the same results.

Are they a user or local admin? Try making them a local admin, get the NK2 file going then revert them to user.

Well it appears that the issue either resolved itself, or the deleting of the mail profile, and then recreating it actually worked. Thank you for the assistance.
